На днях из Техаса отправился в круиз лайнер Карнавал, на борту которого: 3000 пассажиров, привитых на 96.5% (а остальные поднялись на борт с негативными тестами, тк для детей обязательной прививки нет, и еще лайнер делал исключения для людей с "медицинскими показаниями от прививки" (аллергия,этс)) и 1400 экипажа-персонала, привитые на 99.98% (и 0.02% с отрицательным тестом).
Не успел лайнер доплыть до своей первой остановки в Белизе ( в среду)- как на борту оказалось 27 человек с ковидом.
Симптомы, у кого есть- легкие, а у некоторых, и нет симптомов. Все 27 с положительными тестами на ковид- полностью привиты.
27 человек -это около 0.7% от выборки, мало, но этот % выскочил, как чертик из коробочки, среди популяции привитых (в среднем, более чем на 97%), в первую же неделю.
Конечно, ввиду того, что там контингент привитых, а прививка защищает "от тяжести болезни и от смерти", скорее всего, все обойдется. Тем более, что уверяют, что всех регулярно тестируют и всех положительных- изолировали, чтоб ограничить распространение.
Однако, этот случая показывает, что привитость 99% (команда, среди которой 26 привитых стали положительными) - не является препятствием для распространения вируса, для прекращения эпидемии, сама по себе.

Carnival is requiring passengers to be vaccinated, though there are exceptions for children and people with medical issues. The Miami-based cruise line company said in a statement August 4 that passengers must wear a mask in certain indoor areas, and provide a negative COVID test within three days of embarkment for cruises beginning August 14.An extensive list of preventative measures recommended by the agency to cruise ship operators includes minimizing the number of crew members sharing a cabin, eliminating in-person or group staff meetings and practicing social distancing.
Carnival and other cruise lines were granted permission by the CDC in April to resume sailing in U.S. waters by mid-summer so long as 95% of customers and 98% of crew are vaccinated against COVID-19.
