Lonely sheep

Fluff on the outside,
wire within.
Bolts in my hide
and screws in  my skin.
Thoughts of the future
lonely and grim.
The lights in my eyes
are beginning to dim.
I wish for warmth
coursing through my veins,
A heart that keeps pumping
as I run on the plains.
